Travis LeRoy Southworth is a visual artist and image correction specialist working in New York City. The content of his artwork is intrinsically connected to image manipulation in the beauty industry, in which he participates in as part of his day job. Travis’ art practice often involves extracting bits of digital blemishes to construct new portraits. Imperfections in skin and color adjustments are the starting point for a painting he creates in Photoshop. Pixels are pushed and subtle layers of color are added, blending remnants of the figure into the background.
