The Sandbox Game to launch IEO on Binance Launchpad

Binance Launchpad, Binance’s exclusive token launch platform for transformative blockchain projects — today has announced support for its third project of 2020, The Sandbox — a community-driven gaming platform that will allow creators to monetize assets and gaming experiences on the blockchain.

A token sale will be the next step for the company to raise funds after receiving a private round investment from Binance Labs. The highly anticipated Sandbox (SAND) $3M USD token sale on Binance Launchpad will follow a lottery-format ticket claim and start on August 13, 2020, at 06:00 am UTC (+0).

Our team is building a unique virtual world where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences using SAND, the main utility token of the platform and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). SAND holders will be also able to participate in governance of the platform via a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), where they can exercise voting rights on key decisions of The Sandbox ecosystem.

The Sandbox's third Land presale raises $440,000

Ethereum-based user-generated content platform The Sandbox has successfully completed its third Land sale.

This saw 10% of the project's total Land - each of the total 166,464 Land parcel is an ERC721 token - sold in 6 hours, raising 3,330 ETH (around $440,000 at time of writing).

To-date, The Sandbox has sold 17.5% of its total Land parcels, also gaining support from over 50 blockchain/games companies such as Atari, MetaMask, CryptoKitties and Neon District. 

“We are building a deeply immersive virtual worlds metaverse where creators get the chance to make games next to gaming giants such as Atari,” said The Sandbox's COO Sebastien Borget.

The Sandbox's second LAND presale raises $200,000

The second presale for LAND in The Sandbox has been a great success with all the available plots selling out. The total raised was 800 ETH (around $200,000).

This means that 7.5% of the total LAND that will ever be made available in The Sandbox has now sold out. Five LAND presales are planned in total. With the goal of being "Roblox on the blockchain", The Sandbox is a user-generated content platform on the Ethereum blockchain, in which creators and players can build their own gaming environments.
